About the lessons

The First Note

Whether you are an absolute beginner or have been playing for a while, your needs will be catered for with a no nonsense professional approach, teaching you in a learning style that suits you best. From basic open chords to complex jazz chords. Simple melody lines to more complex lead techniques. Whether you are into pop, blues, rock, reggae, funk you can learn it here. Your Lessons

Pick and choose what lessons suit you best from single 1hr lessons to double lessons which will save you money. You can also book up block lessons which will save you even more money and you can pick and choose when you want to have the lessons. If you fancy bringing someone else along to learn as well, we also do group lessons which will save you and each person you bring along £5.00. Now doing half hour lessons - ideal for kids.

Location

I am based in Canvey Island so easy to get to from all Southend, Rochford, Basildon and Castle Point areas. learn in a Chilled out learning environment in my fully equipped home music studio.

Guitar Lessons

Play for fun & learn your favourite songs , riffs & licks or go for an internationally recognised grading (grade 6 and above counts towards UCAS points for university entrance)

Learn on either electric or acoustic. Group lessons available upon request (Learn as a whole family or with friends) Lessons will/can include Chords, Scales/Modes, Arpeggios, Techniques, Rhythm playing, Improvising & Lead playing.

Ukelele Lessons

Come & Learn Ukelele. Play for fun & learn your favourite songs.

Internationally recognised LCM Gradings can be taught if preferred. (up to grade 4)

Ukelele's can be provided in the lessons. (Choose from either concert or Tenor)

Mix & Match & learn both Guitar & Ukelele in your lesson for the same price.

Great for very young children to Learn on before going on to the Guitar.

Teaching materials/handouts are provided allowing students to build up a lesson portfolio for future reference.

Kids Lessons

Kids are well catered for at Lee's Guitar Lessons where they can learn for fun or choose a more structured program. We offer all kinds of recognized LCM Examinations, from acoustic to electric rock school exams. Offering half hour lessons ideal for small children. (Minimum age is 8 years old) Guitars are supplied if your child hasn't got one yet. Also offering advice on purchasing instruments and equipment. Songwriting/Music Theory

Ever wanted to be able to write your own songs? learn how to create & write songs from lyric writing, rhyming techniques, creating catchy hooks and melodies. Learning all about song structures. Create interesting arrangements using different chords and voicings. Learn how to create songs in different musical styles including pop. rock, reggae, funk & jazz.

Music Theory Lessons are available where you can learn all about creating & building chords, Progressions, scales, ,modes, harmony, interval training and much more.

Qualfications/DBS

Lee is a well qualified and experienced guitar tutor having a Diploma in Contemporary music and certificates in music theory as well as having a Level 4 PTLLS Teaching Certificate.

Lee is fully DBS certified & holds an advanced DBS Check Certificate. This gives students & parents peace of mind as this is a legal requirement for anyone working with children & vulnerable adults.
